More Parents Are Traveling With Kids

In my last trip abroad I noticed that there just seemed to be more children everywhere. In the plane, in the airport, and even in our hotel (the Four Seasons, Singapore), the lobby seemed to be full of little ones, running around the beautifully decorated rooms, and the staff actually seemed amused by their antics.
When I was growing up in the 70’s, children were more of the “seen and not heard” nature, not preferred guests at some of the world’s best hotels. I remember travelling around Europe at age 10. Travel Search Engine To Be Launched

A brand new concept in the travel industry is to be launched early next year by
Web Reservations International.
Since being launched in 1999, WRI, whose headquarters are in Dublin, Ireland, handle online reservations for 44,000 properties around the world, from five-star hotels (such as the Intercontinental and Marriott group) to hostels. The company also deals indirectly through more than 3000 online travel portals, tourist boards, destination management companies.
According to media reports, the new search engine will combine travel information with social networking, as well as offer up to one million reviews of destinations and accommodation accross the globe.
