My last two posts, I wrote about tips on how to get cheaper fares for travel. I started writing about budget or low-cost airlines. For those not familiar with them, let me tell you more about it.
A budget airline, also called low-cost airlines, is a flight carrier that usually offers lower fares than traditional or major carriers. When we speak of major carriers, examples are Delta and US Airways in the US, or Lufthansa or KLM for international flights. Tips For Flying Within Your Budget, Part 2

Yesterday, I started giving tips on how to get lower fares for air travel. Here’s the rest of the tips:
• Buy in advance – most airlines offer cheaper fares if you buy them in advance, usually at least a week in advance. Also, the farther away from the date of travel, the likelier the possibility that you’ll get the cheapest fares. Bear in mind that even coach or economy seats in the same flight have different fare types, and the cheapest fares are always the first to go.

A lot of people nowadays are trying to cut down on costs. Unlike the decadent 80s and the booming 90s, these days, the focus is more on value for money, necessities rather than luxuries. Whether times are harder now, or people are more financially savvy, we tend to cut down on what we consider as unnecessary expenditures, especially if you have a family to support.
