Nuances of a Vacation
Posted by Zahir as Adventure, Americas, Around The World, Family, Features, United States
Last trip wore you out? Well, that’s all part of the game, and with any trip it just happens to be part of the whole experience making it memorable and enjoyable. From the planning stage, you are made to decide on several aspects of a vacation from deciding where to go and when, where to stay and what to do when you get there. With a large family, this quickly turns into a nightmare where decisions become more than challenging. Though we want all voices heard, we have to put out feet down sooner or later to get down and move on with the vacation. Booking flights is another worry for everybody wants the cheapest deals around. Planning where to stay is the next thing to consider and then what to do as you get there. This is the common …

Florida’s Pride on the Gulf Coast
Posted by Zahir as Americas, Cities, Getaways, Luxurious, News, Resorts, Travelogger, United States, Website
Florida has long been known for it’s perfect tropical weather and breathtaking sunsets. This is why most of the world’s rich and famous prefer the area which is rich in unspoiled beauty along the sea where a beach is sure to be within reach all the time. One of the newest and hottest developments along the Gulf Coast is The Village of South Walton, one of the newest development projects in the whole of Florida. Florida hasn’t seem much development due to the sudden collapse of the sub-prime lending market, whose effects have been attributed to be one of the causes that led to the current recession. The Maryland Wine Festival
Posted by Noemi as Americas, Arts & Culture, Destinations, Festivals, Food and Drink, United States
I was really surprised to find out that Maryland has its own wine festival. My husband is from this state and he has never once mentioned the wine festival. I know about their crabs, Ocean City, the mountains, the railroad, etc., but I didn’t have the vaguest idea that there is actually a celebrated wine festival in the area. For someone who likes wine (though I don’t know all that much about it), this is good news indeed. And for those of you in the east coast, then here is another festival that you should not miss.
This year’s wine festival is already over but they are already planning next year’s celebrations. The Maryland Wine Festival is held at the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster, Carroll County. Next year’s festival is slated for …

Destination: Chicken, Alaska
Posted by Noemi as Americas, Destinations
Yes, that is the real name of the place: Chicken, Alaska. It may sound funny but I think that it would be worth a short visit – even if it is just to say that you’ve been to a place named Chicken. So how come the town got this name?
I got this from the town’s web site:
In the late 1800′s, early miners traveled far in search of gold. Food was sometimes scarce, but a particular area near the South Fork of the 40-Mile River was abundant in Ptarmigan, now the state bird which bears a resemblance to a chicken (Ah the foreshadowing is thicker than steel.) The miners kept themselves alive with the help of the Ptarmigan (if you consider being eaten as helping.)
In 1902, Chicken was to become incorporated, the second town in Alaska …

Weekend Trip To Niagara Falls
Posted by Noemi as Americas, Around The World, Destinations, Family

Though it is not quite the time to go on vacation yet, who is to hinder you from taking a quick trip this month? Personally, I like taking short trips every now and then in order to get away from the stresses of every day life. This benefits everyone in the family and gives each member a boost of energy to get them going.
One destination that would be perfect for a weekend trip is the Niagara Falls. Of course, this would only be feasible if you live relatively near the area. Then again, if you have extra funds, you can always hop on a plane for the weekend trip.
The Niagara Falls is one of the most frequented tourist spots – both on the Canadian side and American side. There is more to do than merely catch a …

Last Skiing Trip For The Year
Posted by Noemi as Americas, Around The World, Destinations, Family, Nature, Resorts, Tips

For some families, hitting the slopes during the winter period is the best way of bonding together. There is nothing to compare to the adrenaline rush that one experiences going down the slopes and at night, warm, cozy rooms at the lodges are something to look forward to. For these families, the coming of spring could be a disappointment in this respect.
However, there is still a bit of time to sneak in a last skiing trip before the season ends for the year. Here are a few of the ski resorts that stay open till May.
Sunshine Village
Located near Banff in the Canadian Rockies, this ski resort stays open till the 19th of May. They offer several packages that offer a lot of savings for the whole family. Expect spectacular views and amazing terrain.

Though some families may prefer to stay at home during this period, why not consider going on a vacation this time around? Here are some great ideas for a fun-filled Easter vacation.
To be held on the 23rd of March, this parade is perfect for the whole family. It is going to be held on 5th Avenue but do not expect floats or marching bands – just admire the astounding array of people in Easter bonnets and costumed pets. Oh, you could come with your own bonnets as well.
What is Easter with an egg hunt? Go to Central Park on the …
Family Vacation Destinations That May Not Have Crossed Your Mind

What is the first thing that comes to mind when talking about kid-friendly vacations? If you are anything like majority of families, you’d probably say something related to Disney. There is no doubt about it – Disney is the premier choice for kid-oriented vacations. However, I also have never doubted that there are countless other destinations out there – one only has to look.
Go to the world famous zoo, go to beach, or visit LegoLand.
City lovers will be thrilled to take their children around Chicago – oh Frenaye swears that …
