Posted by Zahir as Adventure, Africa, Americas, Around The World, Carribbean, Education, Europe, Events, Family, Festivals, Getaways, Oceania, Tips, United States
Not to be taken literally, usual tourist vacation spots would immediately inherit a notion of warm weather, beaches and exploring the beauty of local treasures and sceneries of different countries and regions. But in places like Quebec, there are some spots that provide a chilling adventure that puts all these things into one enjoyable experience.
The Quebec Winter Carnival is an ice palace built in Place Loto Quebec every year. What makes it amazing is that each season, a different concept and design is made to make sure that people who visit them will be treated to various sculptures and themes.
The experience is truly something worth remembering. The best part of …

On the go travelers would always want to keep things as smooth as possible and leave all the paper work and reservations to third party groups such as travel agencies. For some people, they would use the Internet to search for these destination spots which would have online booking and reservations, something that most people resort to today.
Such has been the gift of innovation for people who love to travel. Through search engines like Yahoo, online bookings are enumerated for people to see and check out. Among the usual online bookings include that of Expedia, Travelocity and Priceline.com. Each would have their own set of packages that would give reasonable pricings for potential …

Learn To Adjust in Foreign Lands
Posted by Zahir as Adventure, Africa, Americas, Around The World, Arts & Culture, Asia, Australia NZ, Carribbean, Education, Europe, Historical, Oceania, Tips, Trends, United States, Warnings
People who have the benefit of visiting other places and regions should already know beforehand that they will experience a totally new culture and environment. Countries have different types of cultures and beliefs hence it would be best to make preliminary studies beforehand so that they can be able to identify the things they can and cannot do once they land on the foreign native soil.
The difference in cultures is indeed amazing. The simple things may end up being a big thing for people. Like in Taiwan, it is a sign of disrespect to fork your chopsticks against your food since it is a sign of death. When passing by a mourning …

People who love to travel are already used to the different time zones that most countries have. Sudden changes in the time and weather may prove to be a problem on adjusting to such if a person is not used to such fast paced evolution and lifestyle.
For people, traveling to any part of the world such as the United States, Europe and Asian continents would need body clock adjustments as well. The cultural practices and traditions are not the only immediate things that globetrotters should worry about but rather their ability to cope up with change.
Climate also entails being ready for the level of health a person is …

Traveling to places that offer the finest beaches that the world knows of is perhaps among the top itineraries that people would think of when they would want to travel around the globe. Wonderful and sunny beaches in places like La Jolla, Coronado and Keralla are among the destination of most tourists today who want to cool their heels and regenerate their used up energies from daily work and professions.
Among the common activities in beaches would be that of surfing. High forming waves on the beach waters can show some people hot-dogging their way for attention and most importantly for enjoyment. Although risky for people, this serves as another way of enjoying …

Honeymoon in New Zealand: South Street Cottages
Posted by Zahir as Arts & Culture, Cities, Historical, Hotels, Oceania, Romantic

On our honeymoon about 5 years ago, we spent 6 weeks travelling around New Zealand by car. Although we booked some of our hotels ahead of time, the most charming place we stayed was found by chance.
We drove into Nelson, (North of South Island, and said to be the artists town of NZ) late in the night, and after spending the evening at a pretty dreadful motel, explored the city in hopes to find something befitting to a honeymoon.
We walked into a potter’s shop, and after chatting to the proprietor (whom we fondly called the “Happy Potter”), found out that he was renting out a few cottages around the corner from his shop, in historic “South Street”, …

In close proximity to the airport through a causeway, this island is a good …
