Spa and Couples Do Mix
Posted by Jen as Getaways, Health & Wellness, Spa, Tips, Travelogger, Trends
Couples who stress together need spas together. Yes, you heard right. A spa isn’t just for women anymore. While guys who are reading this article may snort and mutter that they don’t need no girly treatment, think again. A spa is more than just bath oils and soft hands; it’s a rejuvenation formula, perfect for those wanting to make peace with their bodies. Besides, in this day and age, couples going on spa dates together are not unheard of. In fact, it’s becoming increasingly popular, helping save one stressed couple at a time.
But what exactly should a couple expect for a date at a spa?

Well, not all spas offer the same services. However, they do have …

Have a Nickelodeon Family Adventure – The Mall
Posted by Noemi as Family, Hotels, Resorts, Spa, Travelogger, United States

NickHotel has more than water fun to offer the whole family. Though some people may not agree with me, shopping is always inherent to vacations. Trust me, I am not the type to go gaga over shopping. We have countless malls within 30 minutes of our house but I rarely go to one of them unless I have something that I really need. Yet when we go on vacations, I just can’t shake off the feeling to go shopping. Yeah I know, a sucker for tourist traps, perhaps. Anyhow, at the NickHotel, you can take your children shopping and let them have tons of fun while you are at it.
The Mall, …

Playing “Tree” House
Posted by Jen as Asia, Getaways, Hotels, Nature, Resorts, Spa
Me, Jane.
You, Tarzan.
Well, in China’s Sanya Nanshan Treehouse Resort and Beach Club, I suppose such an arrangement is negotiable.
This beautiful hideaway has four tree houses for vacation rentals. Set atop Tamarind trees, they offer a great view of the ocean. Nearby is a 5,000-acre Buddhist and ecological theme park composed of lovely temples, rich pagodas and botanical gardens.
Before you write this off as a vacation spot only adventurers would appreciate, take a closer look. The tree houses here aren’t quite like the ones back home.

More Good Deals For the Family
Posted by Noemi as Destinations, Hotels, Resorts, Spa
In the last post I shared 2 deals for the family – here’s a couple more good deals that you may want to consider for your summer break.
Families of four who want to visit the Caribbean should look into Coconut Bay Resort & Spa’s offer of “Pay Three Stay Free.” The idea is for a family of four to pay for three nights and they get a fourth night free. The package, which is all inclusive, costs about $900. I’d say it’s not bad at all, is it?
Staying closer to home, Zermatt Resort’s Ultimate Summer Family Getaway in Utah is offering a Summer Family Getaway Promotion. Accommodation is for four persons in a one-bedroom …

The Benefits of a Spa Vacation
Posted by Zahir as Air Travel, Americas, Around The World, Eco-Friendly, Europe, Getaways, Health, Health & Wellness, Spa, Tips, United States
Everyone taking on tours and vacation holidays would only think about taking a breather and a change of scenery, mostly focused on the psychological aspect and surrounding environment a person is exposed to. Stress is the number one culprit that becomes the reason for people to seek better surroundings and leisure like activities. But today, maximizing the health benefits from such in the form of spa tours as specialized by countries like Budapest, Hungary and Italy have been a good alternative.
Spas can be located anywhere, even in the local towns. But the type of service that foreign spa groups make the trip to them even more worthwhile. Each …

Banyan Tree Ringha’s Lost Horizon
Posted by Zahir as Asia, Getaways, Hotels, Luxurious, Resorts, Romantic, Spa

Like the Aman-junkies (devoted Aman resort followers who langorously troupe from one luxury Aman resort to another), Banyan-junkies are now flocking to the latest Banyan Tree hotel high up in the mountains of Yunnan, China which opened this month.
Amid a Tibetan-style atmosphere of meditative Buddhist temples, prayer flags and gorgeous mountain views, the hotel is located a gasping (literally) 10,500 feet above sea level in a beautiful part of Sothwestern China in between Tibet, Myanmar and China’s Sichuan province.
The rooms are massive and decorated rather somberly with dark woods and large splashes of Chinese red lacquer and quilted curtains teeming with Tibetan flavour. The smallest room of the hotel, the Tibetan suite sprawls at 2,200 square …
