Travel Tips For The Beijing Olympics (Part 4)

Here’s the last installment for this series. I am sure that those of you who are thinking of going to Beijing for the Summer Olympics have your own list of things to do and see as well as tips to make one’s stay more pleasurable. Here are the last items on my list.

Don’t use up all your energy during the day
The chances are that you would not be spending all your time watching Olympic events – that is, unless you have enough funds to buy tickets to all of them OR get passes for several days. In any case, my suggestion is NOT to focus solely on the Olympics. Beijing has so much more to offer. However, do not expend all your energy during the day. Even if you are not a night person, you should experience Beijing’s night life at least once. So save up on that energy and have a blast underneath Beijing’s bright night lights.

Bring along your sense of adventure
If you are planning a trip to Beijing, then the chances are that you already have your sense of adventure ready and raring to go. I suggest that you extend it a little bit more and make up your mind to try things that you wouldn’t normally try. From street food to milling around with the locals to getting lost within the city – try not to let your fears and inhibitions keep you from enjoying a totally different culture.

Here’s to a great summer in Beijing!
