Get Ready for the Ultimate Scare Fest!
Posted by Jen as Europe
Right in the middle of UK is Alton Towers, one of the best theme parks in Europe. Located in Staffordshire, this park is preparing to stage their annual Scare Fest which will run from 13th of October to 4th of November. Families all over the world will surely find themselves getting into the Halloween spirit. The theme park has everything from young kids to adults.
There is the Pumpkin Patch which is a pumpkin-themed indoor play area for kids who are aged eight and below. For adventurous trick or treaters, there are Trick and Treat Doors which open to many interesting surprises. Kids will also get to meet the friendly resident spooks of Alton Towers namely: Frank, Phil, Skelvin and Patch. By the end of the day, a laser light show aptly called Fright Lights will be presented to mark the event.
For the slightly older kids, there is a live Halloween TV special on Cred Street. Games and all sorts of fun activities will be held there so don’t miss the excitement. For those who are itching for an adventure, visit the Haunted Hollow where unearthly former residents and a gravedigger haunt the place. The Field of 1,000 Screams offer mazes that are beyond the wildest imaginations. If that doesn’t scare, then the Terror of Towers surely will. Guests will be taken through the story of the bloodthirsty master and his unfortunate victims. With a surprise lurking in every dark corner, this attraction is not for the faint-hearted.
The Halloween fun does not end with the theme park. There are various activities lined up for those who are staying in the hotel. A nightly Fancy Dress Competition will be held at the hotel’s atrium so guests should remember to pack their best bets with them. A special Trick or Treat Trail will be hosted at the Ma Garittas Bar for those excited little kids. They will also love the story-telling and magic shows prepared for by Alton Towers. For those who are eager for something a little more different, they can sit back and watch the Dance with the Devil show and attend the Monster Mash Party later on.
Everyone is sure to have a blast this Halloween at Alton Towers!
