This post is a special one for our readers in Europe. I remember posting something about a UK Easter vacation but that was specifically for the UK only – here’s something that covers the other parts of the continent, thanks to TravelSuperMart.
European city break – The abundance of no-frills airlines means that travel to Europe’s top cities can sometimes be cheaper than staying in the UK! Flights to cities such as Rome, Berlin or Prague can be found for bargain basement prices. We found a return flight to Berlin over the Easter weekend for just £28pp using our flight finder. Accommodation is also available for less than you might think.
Easter Sun – You don’t have to travel to the Caribbean to find guaranteed sunshine this Easter. The Canaries and Balearics offer year round sunshine and temperatures that will make you forget all about the cold weather back in the UK. If you’re looking for a family break, try Lanzarote or Majorca with flight times of less than four hours. At this time of year apartments and hotels are often available for a long weekend and you will also benefit from slightly quieter resorts. But if you’re looking for nightlife, head to Tenerife or Ibiza where you can enjoy all the bars and clubs on offer.
Weekend ski break – The key point when booking a weekend ski trip is to make sure your resort is close to the airport otherwise you can spend half of your holiday transferring to your resort! The best option is to fly into Geneva with lots of cheap flights departing from regional UK airports. Geneva serves some great resorts for weekend ski including Courmayeur, Chamonix, Flaine and Morzine. Cormayeur is our top pick for a weekend break with skiing taking second place to relaxing and admiring the incredible views of Mont Blanc.
I’ll complete the list in the next post.
