This is perhaps a question that has been bugging many parents for the past months. Though we only have roundabouts a week left before Christmas, I wouldn’t be surprised if you have not made concrete plans for the holidays yet. Sometimes, with all that we have going on, we put off the decision making till the last minute. Here are some considerations that you can mull over if you have not made your decision yet.
Staying at home
This means less expense, definitely. You do not have to pay for gasoline – which, of course, is at an all time high. You do not have to worry about plane tickets. More so, it is easier and more convenient as you would not have to worry about packing and lugging everyone around.
On the other hand, it would mean that you may not get to see your other family members, especially if they live in another state or another country. This would also mean that you have to pay more attention to your house décor and your preparations for the celebrations to be held at home. For travel lovers and shopaholics, this would also mean that you will be limited in this regard during the holidays.
Visiting Friends or Family
Of course, the prospect of traveling in itself is a good incentive. Add to that meeting and spending time with family and friends from far away and you have all the reason you need to pack up your bags and go.
The downside includes the expense and hassle of traveling.
Going on vacation
The whole family will definitely enjoy this moment to bond and spend time together. Then again, you have to consider the fact this is peak season. That means more expenses and a lot of other tourists, wherever you decide to go.
