In recent years, the number of people in the U.S. using their mobile phones for maps and GPS navigation reached 9.61 million. This figure from Statista.com covered the years 2009 to 2012.
Many travelers today rely on the GPS whether they are driving towards their destinations or simply doing the walking tour. It comes very handy when you’re visiting a new place with absolutely no idea where the shops, restaurants and other attractions are.
