Manlawi: Most Beautiful Spot On Earth

December 30, 2009 By noemi

I am not joking. This island, which is part of Caramoan Islands, is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Granted, I haven’t been to that many places, but when I first saw Manlawi Island, I was immediately besotted.

Initially, I thought that there were 7 islands to discover in Caramoan. Well, I was wrong. There are more than 7, definitely. Unfortunately for us, the waves were too strong to go to the other islands, so we had to content ourselves with those relatively nearby. On our second day, we went to the nearest cluster of islands – more of them in another post. Today, we went to the southern part, where we discovered paradise. Seriously, every other beach I have been to pales in comparison to Manlawi Island. Take a look for yourself.

From afar, we could already see that this island was nothing like the others. The boatman told us that they were trying to get there as fast as they could so as to get there while the tide was still low. Unfortunately for us, we got there just as the tide was coming in. As such, the sand was pretty much covered with water. Still, we could see some sand bars. The water was also very low pretty much all throughout. We walked forever and still the water didn’t go past the waist.

I can totally imagine going there early in the morning, setting up a couple of beach chairs, and just lounging in the sand and under the sun. Guys, if you ever go to this neck of the woods, make sure you don’t miss this island. You will not regret it.
