Meeting the Adventurous Wench

“Who is the Adventurous Wench?” you might wonder. She is the Elizabeth Swann of Pirates of the Carribean and the Eowyn of Lord of the Rings. In short, she’s the adventurous side of yourself. At least, that’s what Deanna Keahey, founder of the Adventurous Wench website, believes.

Ahoy, adventure!!!

Ahoy, adventure!!!

What makes her travel website so interesting is the fact that it caters to a special group of people only: Women! Men aren’t the only ones allowed to have an adventure every now and then! The Adventurous Wench itinerary and packages are all designed specifically with female enjoyment in mind. The Adventurous Wench makes sure that all guests are taken care of in the exact way that they want.

The website is fairly easy to navigate. Clicking on the “General Info” link will help you decide which destination is right for you.

The Adventurous Wench will then give you these questions to reflect on:

Does the destination appeal to you?
Does the trip fit with your interests?
Do the activities in the itinerary sound fun?
Is the activity level right for you?
Is this the best trip for you?

An “Activity Ratings System” is also provided to help match your health and fitness level with the kind of adventure you’re looking for.

Everything is well-planned and well thought out. Plus, they’re all arranged with only women in mind. So if you’re planning an all-girls outing or a great, bonding session with your sister or your mother, I suggest you set the Adventurous Wench in yourself free. :)

    Hi Jen -
What a lovely surprise to find your article! You hit the nail on the head in describing our quest for women’s adventure. We all need adventure – that’s the spice of life! Lots of single women don’t have anybody to travel with, and aren’t too comfortable doing it on their own, so we’re here to make it happen.

Thanks, and let me know if you or your readers have any questions.

Hi there! ~:> I wasn’t expecting a comment from you! :) But it’s really wonderful what your website has done and is doing. It sort of eliminates the insecurities of being a single girl and traveling… ^___^
