In the U.S., the New York Fashion Week honors the city’s fashion industry and various events are held throughout the Big Apple for the entire week. Among the events feature are the exclusive runway shows that take place inside the Bryant Park tents and outside the tents.
American designers taking part in this major event are Anna Sui, Calvin Klein, Diane Von Furstenburg, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Vera Wang among others. Also in attendance are some Hollywood stars, fashion bloggers and photographers from overseas.

London Fashion Week
London is not to be outdone as it also has its Fashion Week founded by the British Fashion Council. This weekly event together with the New York, Paris and Milan Fashion Week is collectively known as the “Big Four” fashion weeks. It features Mulberry, Burberry Prorsum, Matthew Williamson, Nicholas Kirkwood and Tom Ford.
In 2010, the event was the first of its kind to broadcast the shows of designers live on the internet. In 2012, it was also the first to showcase men’s collections.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo
The annual Fashion Week event that takes place in international cities around the world features the trends for the next season and the latest collections. Japan is part of this global fashion festival and calls its event the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. The Japan Fashion Week Organization hosts this event that is held twice each year in the months of March and October.
