All of us have gone through the teenage years and we know how it is like to be a teenager. During their children’s teen years, parents probably experience one of the most sensitive periods in their lives. Even in planning a vacation, teens may need to have special considerations.
I’ve been focusing on cruises for families for the past week or so and not once have I really thought about special needs for teenagers. Finding the right activities for teens is not that easy as they are somewhere in between children and adults. The former group is probably a bit easier to please. Here are some ideas for the best cruises for teens.
Is your teenaged child a social animal? If so, you may want to take a closer look at Carnival Cruises, in particular Carnival Liberty and Carnival Freedom. As some teens crave the liberty and freedom they seem to think adults have, they can enjoy certain liberties in the teen area of the ships. Unlike other cruise ships, the area for teens in these ships is located in the midst of the adult-oriented areas. If I were a teenager, this would definitely be a plus for me.
The Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas is perfect for teenagers who love the comforts of home in a somewhat different setting. This ship is ideal for teenagers who love to go out all day and even at night. With activities such as ice skating, rock climbing, golf, basketball and food places such as Ben & Jerry’s, teenagers will never be bored. There are even “nightspots” where parents are banned! For sure, your teenagers will love this ship.
