Stay Fashionable While Traveling

When you are getting ready to travel, the last thing on your mind might be what you will pack, yet if you don’t put a little thought into this, you’re going to end up at your destination without important pieces that you need. Here are some considerations to make while packing for your next trip that will help you achieve the fashionable look you want, without breaking your back with unnecessary luggage.

Lighten Your Load

Wherever you head on your travels, you will be lugging that bag with you. Make sure it is not too heavy by packing as lightly as possible. Consider packing pieces you can get multiple wears out of, such as a shirt that can be paired with jeans for the morning and a suit jacket for the evening, or a dress that can go from casual to dressy with just the addition of the right jewelry. Remember, nothing can kill your look quite as quickly as lugging around two huge bags everywhere you go.

Mix and Match Your Items

In addition to bringing clothing that can be both dressy and casual, consider bringing items you can mix and match. If the same shirt can be worn with a skirt and a pair of jeans, you get two days out of it. If you have two tops that match the same pair of pants, you only need to pack the one pair of pants. Neutral colors will help you mix and match easily, and you can throw in color with your tops or accessories. [Read more…]

Find Travel-Friendly Clothes

December 27, 2010 By noemi

MOSTWANTED28Going on a vacation is always an exciting thing. One problem that I do face is packing just the right amount of clothing. More so, I have problems choosing the right kinds of clothes to bring along. One thing I know for sure – it is always good to bring clothing that will not look like it just came out of the washer all wrinkly. While flat irons are available in most hotels, who would want to spend more than a minute getting your clothes ready when you can run out of the hotel room and explore?

The only solution is to get wrinkle free clothes that you can simply take out of the bag, hang, and wear! So what kinds of clothing pieces can you get? Where can you find them?

According to the experts (my friends who are into these things, actually), the best choice would be garments that are knit or woven. Even better, get garments which are made with fabric that has a little stretch to them. These pieces of clothing tend to wrinkle much less than normal pieces.

Also, make sure that you bring along several pairs of jeans, especially the stretchy kind. These items of clothing are also perfect for traveling as you just need to take them out of the bag and smooth them out.

One final tip: once you get to your hotel room, hang all your clothes up to get the tiny wrinkles out of them.

Now that isn’t so hard, is it?
