We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment.

Traveling by Train

Traveling by train is an often passed-up option by travelers.  Travelers who wish to save on travel cost should consider this option.  It is the ideal means of traveling for people who would like “to smell the roses” since a train ride can be an adventure and experience on itself aside from the destination.  Train riders however would have to have a little more time than plane riders since the trip would take longer.

The longer journey will probably be the one and only disadvantage which train riders will have to contend with.  Even so, such “disadvantage” is swiftly offset by the scenic route of a train ride.  Riding a train possesses such a traditional charm of the old ways, when times were not as hurried as it is today.  It encourages passengers to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

For people who are concerned about the environment, a train ride whenever possible, reduces carbon emissions that is usually released by airplanes in more quantities than train.  Contrary to common believe, a plane ride is not always the most convenient option since trains offer the advantage of train stops that are nearer communities as opposed to airports which are usually situated far.

The issue of less cost is an important advantage offered by trains.  The train fare is much cheaper than plane fare to begin with.  Prices of train fares are also relatively stable compared to plane fares which usually force passengers to pay more during peak periods.  Boarding and departure times of trains are definitely more passenger-friendly because of the option to take the next available trip without need for reservations and last minute fare hike for the change.
