We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment.

Are Budget Hotels Worth It?

ibiseustonMy husband and I are probably the two most different people in the world. Anything one likes, the other one dislikes. Don’t ask me how we hooked up. Anyway, when it comes to traveling, I tend to look for the budget hotels. Naturally, he prefers the more luxurious ones. It’s a good thing that I always end up planning the whole trip, so I get my way.

This brings to mind a question that I hear a lot: are budget hotels worth it? On the one hand, as the name suggests, you do not have to spend an arm and a leg for your accommodations. More so, you don’t really get to stay in your room during your trip. On the other hand, you might not get the amenities that you want in a budget hotel. Worse, sometimes, you never know what you are going to get in a budget hotel.

Then again, I think that’s the beauty of it. If you are in for an adventure, then budget hotels should do the trick for you. For the most part, if you do your homework, you will not go wrong with a budget hotel. As I said earlier, you will not be staying in your room the whole time anyway. Why spend so much when you’re going to be out all day? And do you really need all those amenities? Think about it, going budget just might free up more cash to spend on trinkets and other activities that you might never get to do again!

So yes, budget hotels are SO worth it!
